Seniors should apply for local scholarships from the Brighton community. Most applications can be picked up in the Counseling Office. Please continue to check this website and scholarship board in the Counseling Office for deadlines.
Hispanic Advisory Committee Scholarship - Ten scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 each. 5 of the ten scholarships given require that the student major in education. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior who has attended Brighton High School for at least three consecutive semesters. Criteria: Any senior who is planning to attend a two- or four-year college/university or technical/trade school after graduating from high school, who has a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Valley Bank and Trust Scholarship - GPA of 2.5 or better. Click here for the application. Deadline: March 21, 2014.
27J Education Foundation Scholarship - Student must be a 27J School District graduating senior who has completed one full
school year in the 27J District. Student must have a scholastic record of 2.5 cumulative GPA or better and provide a
copy of his or her official high school transcript. Student must have been actively involved in the community and/or school activities. Deadline is April 1. Click here for the application.
COMTO Colorado - will award scholarships for the 2014-2015 school year to minority high school students who express an interest in pursuing college studies in a transportation-related field. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books, and/or room and board expenses. Please select the following link to access the application: COMTO 2014 Scholarship Application.
